St Mellons

Help us make a new show about motherhood, class & beauty.

We’re looking for 6 women to join our artistic team over two weekends, here in St Mellons. Together we’ll explore how to make John Redwood: The Musical.

In the 1990s, former Secretary of State for Wales John Redwood claimed that young women were getting pregnant to secure council houses. He said a two-adult family was the natural way to parent. The legacy of these hurtful comments is still felt today.

Our new show will challenge this stigma and set the record straight.
