SEEKING MEMBERS FOR OUR NEW PERFORMANCE COLLECTIVE (Bradford)

Common Wealth are looking for eight creative people aged 18-30 to join our new Performance Collective.

The Performance Collective will collaborate with us to make and perform in new productions for audiences in Bradford and beyond. You will train as facilitators and performance makers in Common Wealth’s methodology preparing you to lead workshops in schools, youth centres and more. This is a paid, creative, practical training opportunity.

You will be employed two days a week, starting January 2024, initially for one year with potential to extend your contract to two years.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE…

  • 18-30 years old
  • Based in West Yorkshire and able to commute to Bradford
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • You do not need to have performed professionally before
  • You won’t necessarily be an ‘actor’
  • You will have a lot to say about the world. Common Wealth is a political theatre company: we want to change the world and we want to work with young people who can identify issues in society and work together creatively to make change
  • We welcome applications from everyone and particularly encourage people to apply who are working class and under-represented in the theatre industry. This includes people who are Black, Asian, Roma, Eastern European, queer, have lived experience of disability, caring responsibilities or are care experienced.

We are holding an Open Evening at Common Space on Wednesday 27 September, 6-8pm, so you can meet the team, find out more about our work and ask any questions you may have.

Once you’ve read the CALL OUT document, you can apply in three different ways:
