Fahadi Muluku

Trustee

Fahadi, a Llanrumney local, is passionate about raising the voices of young working class people in Wales, using the creative arts as a tool to create positive tangible change.

Fahadi started working in theater in 2021 as an Associate Director, working for both National Theatre Wales and Common Wealth Theatre under the 12 month Weston Jerwood Fellowship. During his time with both theatre companies, Fahadi supported multiple creative projects and productions such as the Radical Grime Summer School and KidsTown, learning about co-created theatre and positive community engagement.

Fahadi has also helped embed youth voices in Wales Millenium Centre when he was brought on to create the WMC Youth Collective, a young advisory board that advocates for the voices of young people in and around Wales’ biggest arts center. As a freelancer, Fahadi has also had the opportunity to direct and produce his own production on environmental sustainability with Green Man Festival in 2023.

He has always had an interest in Law and Politics and has delivered multiple workshops and lectures on children’s rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Fahadi also completed a law degree from the University of Exeter in 2024, and hopes to use all that he has learnt to continue supporting others.

Fahadi has returned to Common Wealth as a Trustee and hopes to have a positive impact on the work of the company in the coming years.
