Performance Collective 2024

In 2024 we started the year in Bradford by welcoming a new Performance Collective, made up of 9 local working class people aged 17-30 who trained as performers, co-creators and facilitators. Their training involved how to lead and plan workshops for community groups, how we create campaigns, an introduction to movement, devised theatre and some British Sign Language.

Throughout the year they supported the R&D for Public Interest and learnt about Common/Wealth’s practice through exploring previous shows and projects. We brought in external practitioners, directors and other Theatre companies to lead workshops for the group and ultimately assist them in developing their own projects; In Common, Still Waiting & the end of year Performance Collective Showcase.
