Who we are

Noor Jahangir

Noor is a young poet, performer, dancer and campaigner; born and bred in Bradford. She has been writing and performing poetry since she joined Speakers at the age of fourteen, and has now been able to have two of her own poetry anthologies published. She has also been involved in a lot of political performance, speaking up and raising awareness on issues important to her and her community.

Noor has been involved in Speakers’ Corner campaigns such as Kunan Poshpora, I Am Perfect As Me, Speakers Tea Party and Take A Breath. She also took up the opportunity of joining Youth Theatre Lab which has enabled her to further express herself. She is also currently working on the youth panel for Bradford 2025, contributing towards her city being the City of Culture and has been a member of Common Wealth’s Performance Collective since January 2024.
