Amy Letman

Co-Chair

Amy is Creative Director of Transform in Leeds, which she founded in 2015 with the mission to develop an ambitious international performance festival for Leeds. The biennial international festival presents trailblazing theatre, dance and performance by artists from across the North of England and the globe with commissions and co-productions going on to tour Europe, North America and Australia. Whilst at Transform, Amy has prioritised an inclusive and co-created festival approach and has secured NPO status for the organisation. She has also been part of developing ‘Horizon’ – a new international performing arts showcase for the Edinburgh Festivals, commissioned by Arts Council England. She founded ‘Festivals of the Future’ an EU network supporting founder and female led festivals, and co-led the ‘Imagining Futures’ network with Goethe-Institute London.

Previously Amy was Associate Producer at Leeds Playhouse for four years, where she established their artist development programme ‘Furnace’. She was Associate Programmer at Battersea Arts Centre, has guest curated for the Barbican, London, and produced independently for UK Theatre award winning company RashDash.

In 2022 Amy was named by The Stage as one of 25 people in the UK expected to change the future of theatre. She is a Clore Fellow.
